It is in the Sabrina remake I love! (I will have to come back in the springtime when it's actually on).
The famous exterior of color coded pipes:
green - plumbing, blue - air ducts, yellow - electrical wires, red - circulation elements & safety devices
We went to Centre Pompidou on Monday with my Art History class because we are now studying modern art from 1900-1940. We only visited the 5th floor since that's where the collection is. We will return next Wednesday to see the 4th floor that contains more contemporary art from 1940 to today. It's the second most visited museum in the world after the Louvre! Overall, it's modern architecture (having all the interior elements outside so that there could be enough space inside for the art) fits oddly in the ancient city but, I guess, that's the whole point of modernism. The walls are glass you can sweepin views of the city while taking in the art - it serves as a way to integrate the two elements into one. The museum also has a library, a cafe, conference rooms, theaters, and a children-only exhibit/play area that changes just as a normal exhibit would.
