Update

So unfortunately I still do not have my camera cable and I do not want to bore you with paragraphs of descriptions and stories when my pictures could easily tell a lot of the story. I hope to have it by the end of the week so then I will backtrack to my 1st few days of the city and how it's been so far!

Arrival

Hello everyone again!

After a nice break from traveling and a busy schedule, I have now arrived to New York City a few days before my L'Oreal internship begins. (I must warn you that I forgot to pack my transfer cord for my camera so I won't be posting pictures anytime soon, but once I get it this week with the box I'm shipping, I'll post them).

I'm living in the New Yorker Hotel, because half of it is actually student housing. It's right in the Garment District in Midtown Manhattan so everything is really close. I'm rooming with a girl named Tam who goes to the University of Minnesota and will be working with L'Oreal too for the Lancôme makeup division.

We went shopping for food and other necessities, and by the time we got back to the room and unpacked it was 10pm and we were dead. It's somewhat overwhelming because there are so many tourists and events going on that you don't really know where to start exploring. I'm sure once we start on Monday we will get a better hang of the area and venture into other parts of city.
