Weekend in Paris

A painting by Andy Warhol that was done on a white canvas with paint that can only be seen under UV light!

Trees along the Seine with flowers. This was the only one with pick flowers instead of white!

Puppet show on the Champs de Mars (mainly for kids so the kids reactions were equally as entertaining as the main puppet Gignol).

The loooong line to get into L'Entrecote in between the Arc de Triomphe and La Defense.

After so many weekend getaways past and busy traveling schedules ahead, this past weekend was my last in Paris! So naturally I took full advatage and got out to do the last things I had on my "must" list so that I can leave Paris not regretting it. To start Saturday, my friend Chloe and I went to the Grand Palais to see a very large Andy Warhol exhibit that was amazing, and I got to see many paintings I never knew existed.

Next we went to eat a very parisian lunch at The aux 3 Cerises by the Eiffel Tower - vegetable quiche, a salad with vinagrette dressing, and a hot chocolate to top it all off - before meeting up with a professor from school. With her we went to a puppet show that had great costumes and even a greater audience of 4 year olds.

Finally, to end our day out right, we went to the steak and frites place in Paris called L'Entrecote - Le Relais de Venise (there are many imitations that they had to add to the name, but the true one is located at Port Maillot).
All they serve is a walnut salad with red wine for starters and ask you how you would like your meat cooked. Then come out the steak and frites (1/2 of your steak with a serving of frites to begin, then when you're done with that you get your second half of meat and fries so that it's still warm!) The reason it's famous is because they serve the steak with a delicious "secret" sauce that no one has been able to copy for over 50 years! I highly recommend it to anyone going to Paris.
