Hello everyone! My friend Jihane and I just arrived to Paris this morning and got to our hotel just fine. When we got to our room, we settled in and immediately passed out for a good 2 hours (thanks to jetlag), but now we have enough energy to walk around and get to know this area of the city and eat from one of the many pastry shops and bakeries. We are currently at the BU-Paris campus which is only a 2 minute walk to La Tour Eiffel and has free internet : )
Tomorrow I move in with my host family - a retired couple, Jacqueline & Nicolas - that live in the 16th district in a "petit maison" with a garden. The discription of my room is as follows: A "very" big room with two windows where one overlooks a terrace, a double bed, a bureau, my own bathroom and kitchen as well. Pretty amazing huh?! I'll let you know exactly how it all turns out once I arrive but as of now it sounds promising!
I'm off to eat with Jihane so all the best!
